Founded by kindred spirits, Amelia and Liam, our journey started with a shared love for the raw beauty of Australian timber and a steadfast commitment to craftsmanship that endures.

We exclusively source our primary timber from certified sustainable forests within Australia, with a strong preference for local Victorian Ash and reclaimed hardwoods. This ensures that for every tree harvested, new ones are planted, and ecological impact is minimised. We diligently track our supply chain to guarantee ethical and responsible forestry practices.
Our commitment extends beyond timber. We use only VOC-free (Volatile Organic Compound) natural oils, waxes, and water-based lacquers for our finishes, ensuring a safe environment for our artisans and for your home. For upholstered goods, we prioritise natural fibres like organic cotton, linen, and wool, and seek out recycled content fabrics whenever possible.
We believe in giving back to the environment that provides for us. Gumtree Nest Co. proudly partners with local Australian environmental initiatives, contributing a portion of our profits to tree-planting programs and native habitat restoration projects.
